Who's behind the donkey?
AWHACKADOODLE is a proud overthinker, newly minted empty nester, and full-time creative whose deep expertise in quantum physics, English gardens, American forests and baking comes mostly from enthusiasm and a stack of library books. The kids are grown and gone, the house is suspiciously quiet, and there is now an alarming amount of free time to fill. Some people take up pickleball. She took up hiding words in grids.
Every Awhackadoodle book starts with a theme she's a little bit smitten with: the smell of cinnamon rolls cooling on the counter, the hush of an old forest trail, the special agony of waving back at someone who was waving at the person behind you. She makes no claim to be an expert in any of it. She simply loves the details enough to turn them into 50 puzzles, so you can enjoy them with a warm drink and a pencil in hand.
